Holy pants, but I can see the end in sight for “Making Twenty,” a story about career counseling and transhumanism. I think it’s got two cool things going for it:

1) It’s going to clock in under 13K, which means if I can trim it to 10K, it’ll be a lot more publishable.
2) It’s open-ended enough to be the first part of a novel.

These are things that make me very happy.

Fueling this has been stuff from the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack and podcasts from Indiefeed, which was nice enough to introduce me to The Postal Service. Give ’em a listen.
