I never thought my old middle school would make the news unless something bad happened there. Guess what? (Use BugMeNot to get around registration.)

I’m of two minds about this. On the one hand, this sort of crap on the part of the kids wasn’t cool. You don’t like someone? Suck it up and deal with it. Unless that person’s abusing you and making your life difficult, you’re just going to have to learn to deal with people. That’s what civilization’s all about, kids: getting along with people you just don’t like. If you really don’t like them, write in a private diary on paper in your room. Teh Intarweb is a wonderful way of communicating to people, but it’s also a way for the entire fucking world to see what you’re thinking. Don’t be stupid. Scribble on paper, wait ten years, then turn it into fiction and make a mint.

On the other hand, where the fuck were these “We’ve got to protect the children?!” administrators when I was going there and getting teased and taunted and bullied and shoved around? Where were you when the kid from the juvie halfway house picked me up and tossed me around during gym class (which was on school grounds, during school hours)? You get in a panic over some MySpace bullshit, but don’t do a godamn thing about what’s happening there and now at school? Fucking hell, it’s a wonder more people didn’t want to burn that place to the ground.

And, yes, if some concerned parents from Costa Mesa want to condemn me for thinking such barbaric thoughts, get stuffed. Learn to raise your children, you ignorant jackholes. Learn to pay attention to your children. TeWinkle was filled with bigots, idiots and deadenders when I went there. There were also plenty of smart, talented kids from every socio-ethnic-economic background, too, and I hope they were able to grow up strong and get the hell out.

And, no, I don’t want the alumni newsletter, thenkyouveddymuch.
